I turned 55 years-old yesterday! It feels like I just turned 50 and now I'm half way through the decade. My mom seemed really old at 55 and I suspect that I seem really old to some younger people (just saying 'younger people' makes me seem old). On Sunday I rode 30 miles in an hour and 47 minutes - I'm pretty sure my mom could not do that at 55. 
I spent the day with Melissa, Kelsey, Abby and Eli - we drove up north to look at the tulips where the sun actually shinned. That's been a rare occurrence in the Northwest this spring. I had a great time - how much better can it get than to spend a day with people you love? 
For the next year any opportunity I have to tell my age I'm planning on saying, "Double Nickles" just because I can. My friend Bob thought I said, "Double Nipples." I hope no one else thinks that's what I said but if they did it would be pretty funny.
