I ride the train almost every workday. It is a beautiful ride and I often see eagles, egrets - I saw a fish jump, and occasionally naked men, but just once I want to see a whale - I look every single day. Yesterday afternoon whales were spotted in my hometown of Edmonds! Excited for my afternoon ride home I even scored a window seat and I had my camera with me - all signs were pointed to whale finding success.
I saw . . .
My favorite water feature called Father and Son (Louise Bourgeois) . . .
My favorite little cove right by the Ballard Locks - this house has been for sale for at least the two years I've ridden the train - maybe someday it could be mine! . . .
Shilshole Bay Marina . . .
A man about to disrobe at the nude beach . . .
Lots of people and dogs at the off-leash park . . .
But, no whales. I'll keep looking cause I'm convinced I'll see one soon.
Whenever I fly up that way I ALWAYS look for whales. Last year we saw some grays. I saw your Ballard house online...it looks terrible on the inside. I think it used to be a men's club or something. Would be such a cool location though! (Location, location, location right?) I had no idea about the nude beach. Can you see nakedinis just out and about on your train ride?! Hilarious
ReplyDeleteOh you can see the nudies for sure ( I always check that out too). In fact, while I was looking a whale of a man flipped from his back to his stomach - couldn't get my camera to engage fast enough to snap a picture! FYI: that beach is just south of the Edmonds off leash park- check it out next time you're flying in that direction!
