What I love most about the new year are all the possibilities. It is like a new Mead peechee, an unopened gift, the first day of school, a blank canvas; what's going to happen, where is the year going to take me?

The year began beautifully with a relaxing trip to Kauai visiting my friends, the Smiths. We went to an amazing New Year's Eve party where a live band rocked! The lead singer, Mary (sorry, I don't know her last name) is planning on submitting a demo tape to the X Factor or one of those kind of shows - it is one of those where the public gets to vote. I've never voted before but if she gets on the show I will definitely make the call or send the text or whatever you need to do. She was fantastic!
I haven't planned any big rides - no lofty goals . . . I'm not traveling to exotic locations, taking any classes or making any major purchases but with Peter's upcoming wedding it will certainly be memorable. I have made a list of resolutions; eat right, keep up my exercise routine, clean the garage and reorganize the pantry, so I am poised for success! I have a blessed life filled with people I love so 2012 has got to be a wonderful adventure.
