The Dog Days of Blogging

I've been a really bad blogger lately. My life is one exciting minute after another and I haven't had a moment to stop and reflect and actually write something. Okay, that is a big fat lie; the truth is I can't think of anything worth writing about. So I'll give you a run down on some good things that have happened lately.

I had a lovely dinner with my good friend Denise (Seattle University) and she thought it would be a good idea using my i-phone to take a picture of us . . . she's using it as her Facebook picture, really? Is that a good idea?

Sunday night I had a great dinner with Eli and Abby (oh, Melissa, Kelsey, Brian and Charlie were there too). I received my first "real" kiss from Eli and let me tell you gentle reader - there is nothing better. I admit there hasn't been a lot of kissing lately but Eli's kiss made up for the desert these lips have experienced. There is nothing more special than an 18-month old kiss!

Abby is getting close to walking. Twice during the evening she stood on her own. And can that girl smile? She is the happiest little gal I've ever met.

I had a wonderful trip to Tucson with my dear friend Teri - in fact, I was her first guest in her new "sort-of" retirement home. We golfed, we cycled, ran, drank plenty of wine, visited her son, a sophomore at University of Arizona (imagine how thrilled he was with that) and overall, had a great time. I'm thinking retirement (if I ever get there) will be pretty darn fun.

Okay, that's all I've got. Sometimes having nothing going on is a good thing.
