Abby is on Her Way into the World!

I got home about 2:00pm yesterday, Wednesday afternoon. . . the endless Wednesday. While walking the dogs; yes, Penny and Scout were ecstatic to see me and I to see them . . . Melissa called to tell me that she was admitted to the hospital. Apparently her blood pressure is elevated to such a degree that her doctors has decided to induce labor. I wanted to immediately leave for the hospital but Melissa convinced me to wait until she heard further from her doctor.

Now, 24 hours later, I have been twice to the hospital only to see Melissa and see first hand what is going on. Tomorrow, Friday, her doctor will begin the medical procedure to induce labor. Up until now Melissa has been given medication to begin the labor process. She is in good spirits but understandably nervous about the whole birth procedure. I have assured her that my experience is such that soon after meeting her new born she will forget all the pain and fuss it took to bring her about!!!! 

So, my exciting life events continue. I predict by Sunday afternoon I will be the proud grandmother of two beautiful babies. My cup runneth over!! Keep posted, pictures are a'coming!
